George V. Howe

George was born and raised in northern New Jersey but with a heavy dose of Boston-based roots and bad accents. The family wore out the I-95 corridor between New York and Boston for holidays, “summah” vacations and baseball games at Fenway Park. George moved to Scituate, MA in 1980 thus officially dropping his “r’s” for the rest of his life.
As the son of a Marine and a Counseling Psychologist it’s no surprise that discipline and compassion are at the core of the advisory business he founded in 2006. While building his private wealth management practice, George relied on the skills, strategies, and tactics he learned from a 20-year career in executive management with firms such as Deutsche Bank Securities, Scudder Weisel Partners, and Scudder Investments. Having those career experiences taught George three very valuable life lessons: 1) building strong, effective relationships are the key to any business, 2) listen more, talk less, and 3) if you don’t love what you do then go do something else.
When it comes to the business of professional advice and guidance, the world of financial services has become a very complex, muddy place and with the deluge of social media and 24/7 talking heads it can seem even more overwhelming. George and his team have a very simple working philosophy: listen to what’s important to your clients and surround them with a team of trusted advisors to help make sound financial decisions. Oh, and deliver that advice in plain English without all of the industry gibberish.
Personally, George HAD a full head of hair and, when not in the office, spends most of his time wondering where it all went. Additionally, and having played competitive baseball at a high level, George appreciates every aspect of coaching youth sports and teaching life skills through athletics. He currently serves on the board of both the youth Baseball/Softball and youth Football organizations in the town of Pembroke, MA. He also enjoys the game of golf and has aspirations of joining the Senior PGA Tour. Given the mind-blowing impossibility of that dream, he’d settle on becoming a professional caddie as a third career.
George is a 17-year resident of Pembroke, MA where he lives with his beautiful wife Tanis (ageless), his two children, Cali (14) and Nolan (11), and their beloved bulldog, Bogey (5).
